Denise,

12,000 posts, that's very impressive. The question is , will the software be capable of supporting Denise's activity. Perhaps this is why it's been hard getting into Passions lately, perhaps it's overloaded?
Only kidding Denise, keep it up, Passions wouldn't be Passions without your reads, your comments and your outstanding poetry.

Thanks, guys! This place wouldn't be the same without each and every one of you too! I just got back from Cape May. I went down there to cash in the gift certificate that I received for my third place poem. I put it towards a print by Thomas Kinkade called 'The Light of Peace'. It is absolutely gorgeous! My husband hung it in the best spot ever...right over my computer! Today I feel like I have been here there and everywhere! It was a beautiful day at the beach, though, and the drive to and from was enjoyable as well. Hardly any traffic at all! Thanks for all your lovely senitiments!

Denise

Nan, nope, no internet access at work, that is reserved for the lawyers...too bad they don't know how to use it to the best advantage......Passions! hehehe

Hi Denise! I'm in here just as you are replying to everything in this forum.   What third place poem? Do we need to start another thread of congratulations for you?

Have a good one!

Hi Elizabeth! I posted the poem in Open 8 last week, I think. It's called The Masterpiece. My sister and her husband were in Cape May this past week and told me yesterday when they came back that they stopped at the Thomas Kinkade Art Gallery where the winning poems were displayed and said that even if they didn't know me, mine was the nicest one. When I went down there today and read the first and second place poems, I had to agree.....hehehe...but of course, I'm prejudiced! But I really don't know how the first place winner wasn't disqualified....the guidelines specified that the poem had to be 100 words or less and hers was over 200, and neither the first or second place winners compared their childhood memories with feelings evoked when looking at a painting of the seaside....oh, well, go figure! I'm just glad I won something and I now have this beautiful picture to look at every day!

I've read "winning" poems that I think are sorry excuses for poetry! I'm glad you won too--now I'll go check out that poem.
