I feel compelled to write my appreciation and admiration for my fellow pip poets! The quality of poetry that I am blessed to read each day, feeds my heart, mind, spirit, and soul! ~ and many a time, my body as well! lol I truly feel blessed to be a part of such a talented and caring community of poets! This morning I wanted to save everything I was reading! I did, however, save two of them. One by Kethry and another by WindWalker. Keth's touched me deeply as a woman and WW's, my soul. God bless all you wonderful pip poets! You have so much talent and heart! Not only are you fine poets, you each have the soul of a poet!  pip, pip, hooooray! Love you all! EA |

Although I rarely reply, I do read the forums every day, and I am amazed every day at the thoughts and the words, and the talent in which they are put together. I was introduced to the Blue Pages by a friend who no longer posts, and I thank her every so often when I am particularly inspired for leading me here. You may burn my flag... only after you wrap yourself in it first. |

Ah, well ain't that just the truth. I too read more than I reply but am richly blessed by the writers in these blue pages. I am so grateful that we are not restricted by technical requirements but can write from our hearts. And though I respect the talents of the technically skilled and am blessed so much by them I am thrilled to have both. And thanks for the reminder to appreciate Ron's home. Hi, Ringo! It was a pleasant surprise to see a response from you this morning! I hope all is well with you and yours! Just prior to my becoming a member of pipTalk, I had completed a 3-credit college course in writing. We were required to write a children's play, a short story, poetry in a variety of poetic forms, articles, etc. It was challenging, yet ever so rewarding. I had been missing the "writing connection" when I went searching for poetry sites on the net. The first one that I clicked on, listed the names of the last three poets who had posted ~ and my teacher, from up here in Canada, was on that list! (During the course, she had not mentioned anything about poetry forums). I then clicked on her bio and she favourably mentioned pipTalk which lead me directly to Ron's home of kindred spirits! Greetings, Larry! I too am pleased that we are not "restricted by technical requirements" in order to post. I enjoy the freedom of expression that we enjoy here at pip. We write for the pure joy of it and for the sharing of our hearts and minds. There are times when I enjoy stretching my poetic wings and try working my brain around, for example, a villanelle or a triolet, but I feel they are more contrived and not a natural flow of my poetic thoughts. ~ and besides, it can be downright painful at times! I certainly second your post, EA. Since joining, long ago, I knew members were helpful and kind, but in my darkest days, I learned they were far above and beyond those words. They were there to comfort and encourage with unsurpassed understanding. Only God can know how thankful my heart is.
