Okay, I'm going to give this a try and I hope it works.
Dear Friends,
I have some wonderful news I'd like to share. A gracious and talented musician by the name of R. Miles Holcomb has lent his mastery to one of my poems. I've known for a couple of weeks and had the recording of the music, I've been trying to wait until I had a recording of the music and lyrics together to share this news, but since it will take a few more weeks to get the singer and actually have that recording, I'm going to share the news now. The poem is one of my older poems and one that many of you will reconize. If I've done this right, the link below should take you to the lyrics and clicking on Play Ready For Love at the bottom of the page will let you hear the music. For those of you who want to follow along with words and music, the words start when the clarinet starts.
so without further ado...I present, Ready For Love the song

Okay, I think I got it figured out here. Sorry about the e-mail Ron but figured it out on my own.

I almost forgot, the sheet music has already be registered with the US copyright office and as soon as the recording is complete, promotion will begin. Miles has an in as his uncle works in showbusiness.

Ruth,

I am so happy for you!  Such a lovely piece now put to music (which won't play for me so I will wait to hear it later.) Congratulations to you, as you sure deserve recognition.  You go girl!

This is really wonderful, Ruth. Those lyrics are perfect for a song and it will be great if everything works out for you....keeping fingers crossed here!

Was that the poem you wrote on the boat at Cape Cod??

Thank you everyone...I understand a lot of folks are having trouble with the music link, I'll try to resolve that within the next few days because the music is so beautiful you just have to hear it

Balladeer...no, Ready For Love was actually written way back in 1998 or there abouts, it remains perhaps one of my most popular (not mine) and represents a great deal to me just because it was kind of (how do I say) my breaking away poem...you know my history better than most so I'm sure you'll understand what I mean
