My Computer recently melted down and I had to reformat. I lost everthing on my drive. Grrrr! But fortunately, EVERYTHING that I've written had been posted here (and therefore, easy to recover) Recovering my writing gave me the chance to re-read it, AND the replies. I really didn't realize how many of you have been kind enough to comment. Or how far back a lot of you started reading me. So? I would like to thank ALL of you, but if I were to list names here, (an embarrassingly long list) I would surely miss a couple of folks that deserve thanks. Please know that I do appreciate your support! I would, however, like to thank Mikey (b_squirrel) for ALWAYS taking the time and making the effort to understand. Early on, it seemed, he was the common thread within my threads. (and I miss his presence here) THANK YOU RON! THANK YOU POETS! THANK YOU MIKEY! Grrrrr....at your computer problems. But isn't it great, going back into the archives, and retrieving your stuff? Thank God for Ron's thinking...and for being so kind as to continue to store our treasures. You're going to back up everything now, right? It's a good thing we have Ron's archives to go to or we'd all be SOL. Fortunately, I have saved a few things on my own PC, but if it should burn.... Glad you recovered everything, Ed. |

This same thing just happened to me...although I'd saved most of my poems to floppy disk...even those had unformated. So glad the arvhives are here too...thanks Ron! Glad to see you back, Ed.  |

(chuckling)... first rule of computers... back up any and all files you do not want to lose onto multiple discs, never trust just one... |

As a Wranx groupie I think I would have died had your stuff not been stored here. Sometimes I don't have the time to even leave a reply but I do read, and I am sure there a lot of other slackers too, that are too lazy to type a response in gratitude of a great poem. So...now with this posting you created I can do a "global" thank you for all your "stuff", because Mr. Wranx it is AWESOME! |
