Try to change just a small part of your daily routine.  Or if your time, allows, volunter somewhere one night a week.

I could put both of your suggestions together and volunteer to be a goalie at a hockey game!!    Sorry, just being silly..

Work has been especially tough..I have to train yet another new employee..the 4th one in a year...so next week I'm taking off....just going to hang out..maybe do the art museum...go to a mall and 'people watch'...read a book...I'll be ok..well, as ok as I can be!

Hugs Sharon.

A change of scene sometimes helps...a new environment.

And I agree - people watching is fabulous!
LOL (specially if they are cute and male...)

You know what you need??  You need the Nafeesa, the pink elephant     hehe

And I am sure you also need cooler weather, I know we do here, its only spring and we have been over 100*

Thirdly, I think you need some banana bread *grin*  if you dont know, dont ask, cause you wont want to know hehe

And lastly, I think you just need a hug...so *HUGE BONE CRUSHING BEAR HUGS*

Gosh Pvd  am trying to remember the last
time I was bored.  I think it was like
4 years ago.  Went out Karoaking and
sang and drank all night long -----whoa
haven't been bored since.  No time to be
bored and no time for hang overs --)

I think you need a challenge. Something that
doesn't come easy to you.   Something that
you have to really work hard on - besides
training employees over and over and over and over and over  OOPS got carried away
heheeh  WANT to strangle me???

I challenge you to write a poem using
every letter in the alphabet at least twice
on the subject of BOREDOM ----)

Be careful with that banana bread if you dont know what I mean by it *grin*

Hey, sharon... ever since i talked to you last night, i've been thinking about your vacation... LOL... i must be living vicariously through you since i don't get one for another couple of months... ummm... and i've been thinking about the 'machine vs. reality' thing... you know... so.. here is a conclusion i came to (for what it's worth... don't know if this will strike you as a good idea or not)...

i think that since you are a poet of poets, living and breathing it... it is part of you... it is your life... that during your vacation you could look for some local LIVE poetry reading venues and go at least once to sit and listen... bring a couple of poems just in case you feel like reading... there must be some Open Mics going on near you... that way, you could take a break from the virtual & delve into the sights, scents, smiles and sensations of the live art of poetry... while at the same time meeting in person poetpeople... and still at the same time, coming back to these forums with fresh poetry and insight into the experience.

whaddya think?

Doreen!! What a fabulous idea!!! I'm at work right now and all I want to do is check paper for times and locations! I know they have them...I'm going to take your suggestion, and I'll let you know what happens. Thanks!
