Over the river and through the woods

I loooooove hearing about other's dreams... so I just had to start this thread.
Here's one of mine...

Last night's dream:

Each scene-jump in the dream is literally separated by geographical decline, so I can see the last scene on the “hill” to the left and above me…

There's a soccer field, and a guy is the goalie and a blond girl is in an offensive position, she's attempting to kick SOMETHING into the goal (not a ball – might be a head), but the field is set up almost like an obstacle course, and she’s trying to maneuver around little red cones set about the goalie box.

Next scene: At a university campus at night, with enormous brick buildings and a tennis court with a giant chain link fence. I’m standing in the parking lot trying to make my way over to my graduating class (the different years are lined up in rows, leading into a building). The group I am navigating through is my boyfriend’s high school class, and I am looking for him… but can’t seem to find him, though I see a few of his friends and ex-girlfriends. I make my way over to my line and see all the people I’ve known through all my different high schools, elementary schools, junior highs, and colleges… Everyone is hugging me and saying hello and I’m making my way toward the front of the line, seeing people I haven’t for ages… then this girl who’s face I recognize (she’s very petite with cropped honey-blonde hair and a MOST adorable appearance; just beautiful), but can’t place a name to screams when she sees me and rushes up, hugging me and chattering saying she was waiting for me the whole time… treating me like her best friend. Meanwhile, I’m looking at the people behind me asking, “Uhm, what’s this chick’s name???”

Next scene: We enter into the building (though the line and the outside of the structure are on the “hill” beside me), which is like a giant cafeteria, and I see another friend on a balcony and wave to her. She waves back and everyone below waves and cheers.

Next Scene: I’m suddenly in the restroom staring out the window, thinking about the soccer field when time starts flowing backwards for everyone but me (those of you who have read “Bearing an Hourglass” will understand this…), that is to say, backwards time for ME is forwards… scenes are flickering like an old movie, fluttering past because time-flow is increasing… I am whirling back in time, but walking slowly, existing on my own plane, streaking toward one pinnacle moment and SNAP! I’m awake looking at my clock… the alarm is going off. The numbers state 8:01. And I know that this was the “stop time”: the vertex I was rushing toward.

*grins* SO… what are YOUR dreams?

Well, the dream that I recall after maybe an hour and thirty minutes of sleep last night was just after I had heard the alarm clock and turned it back off. It felt real for sure though. I looked down at my feet, and there was a baby snake slithering around my toes and my feet. Talk about jumping up out of the bed quickly and getting dressed for work! LOL! I was up, searching the room for the snake. I was afraid to get in my car. LOL! Needless to say, it at least motivated me to get out of bed.

i once had a dream at about 2:00 am that my alarm had gone off and it was 8:30 so i went into he bath room ran my bath water and started taking off my clothes thinking how tired i was,and it didn't seem like i'd had a full sleep, then my father knocked o the door and asked me what i was doing taking a bath at 2am....oops!! i had only been asleep about 2 hrs!!lol it wasn't funny at the time i was so tired.
now a serious dream....well all of my serious dreams are so strange that...well they are just to strange to share, make no sense...I could tel you about the one where i was standing at the sink in my old house washing dishes and i saw a purpl bruised foot flop down (still attachted) from off the roof, and i ran outside and there was a dead girl with half her body hanging off my roof!! The dialog was purely senseless and so was the rest of the dream,it wasn't really a nightmare,i didn't wake up scared..it was just a something and it was in color. I wish i made more sense in my dreams so i could share something, but verything is so nonesense in such a matter of fact way....so oh vell...i hope more people will post,i think dreams are fascinating!!!

I am currently in the middle of a dream - it's lasted 9 months so far, I'll let you know all about it when it's over, but hopefully that'll never happen. Shhhhh!!!!! - Don't wake me!

I dreamed I had climbed to the top of hill to discover what appeared to be the ruins of an ancient temple, overlooking The Mediterranean (somebody spell that for me) Sea. It was made of white stone and I had to squeeze through two toppled columns to enter. Inside was a monk, of what order or religion I know not and he told me, "this is the library." I looked around in amazement, for the shelves seemed to reach forever upwards and sideways, and the shelves themselves were luminous as though made of light. There was no empty spaces in the shelves, each spot taken neatly by "books" of the same size, and of the same height of the shelves so that there were no empty spaces. As I wondered how I could remove a book to read one, I glanced at the binding and could not only SEE the story, but found that I was IN the story, and the story was changing, just through my presence IN it. Startled, I realized I was being ABSORBED by the book. Then I stood back and could see all of the stories at once, through all of the bindings, constantly changing colors and pictures and I stepped back to realize that they all made up a larger story, that constantly changed, sort of like a giant dot matrix screen. But to my dismay, because of my proximity to the shelf, I could not see the "big picture"---but somehow understood that each "book" was a record of a soul, and that each soul influenced the other, and that all made up the larger part of the whole. Overwhelmed, I retreated outside where I found myself standing on the remains of an old mosaic style floor. And I began to attempt to dig up the tiles, with little success. At this time an old friend appeared and asked what was I trying to do? I explained, and then he took a hammer and shattered one and said, "See? That's how you do it! (Okay, okay, so this guy was one of those butt hole drummer friends of mine) but ANYWAY, the keeper of the library monk-type dude showed up then and said, "no, no, no....not that way...LOOK..."and he took a sharpened stick and gently popped out one of the mosaic tiles with apparent ease. He then, smiled and said, "This way, we can use them again when we REBUILD."

That's It. Serenity is sitting up straight and ready for the prognosis.

.......My most recent dream:

I'm next to this old mansion surrounded by a white picket fence. I walk past it but then I feel something sucking me backwards...I look up in the air to see a purple vortex spinning....it's about the size of......a baseball stadium in the air...about a half a mile away and like 2 miles up.....then these mummy looking women try to pick me up and throw me into it.....I got away using my spit.....yea....i spit on them. Somehow it was reacting like acid....hehe....anyway i ran to the mansion....went in...and somehow got in the back end of it....i saw a pool and a little poolhouse in the back. I went in and saw a hole and climed down it. Suddenly I'm in a cave and glowing holograms of the universe are flying by me....Bright holograms.....I hear ticking and tapping and this half man/half machine is typing with every part of his body on buttons.....he stops when he sees me and tells me he's the keeper of the universe and all the buttons he's pressing is to balance everything out.
He then tells me that it's his retirement and *I* am to be the keeper from now on.....
I revolted but inevitably had no other choice......and that was it......
ME= Keeper of the universe!

I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust.

I'm in love with my shadow
I admire it daily

whoa!! these were so interesting!! wow!! how come everyone one has these great dreams straight out of a mighty max episode, and what do i get? Dead people on my roof!! That can't be right!!lol. I've never traveled much in my dreams,i don't go to forgein places or differnt dimensions through purple vortexes, except for one where i was in new zealand standing in the center of a circle of large volcanoes getting ready to erupt, but i jumped on a horse with 2 other people(it was a long horse) and got away before they blew up. I wasn't that worried though...lol....odd

These are fascinating. . .

Here's one of mine. . .

I was in my home town, in the house that I grew up in with my Mom and my brother. . . things were going along very well, we were just having a typical chat. . .

Then all of sudden, I began to leak!!!  You know, like in a cartoon??  Water just began to pour out of me like I had holes in me!!

I was getting water all over the floor, and (now the interesting part) no one seemed to notice. . . and then I stopped.

Here's a tool that you can use to begin to interpret your dreams.

Think about this:  What's going on in your life right now (or whenever you had the dream) that made you dream this?  Don't try to over-analyze just think about what your dreams mean to you right now in this stage of your life.

I answered this in Prose, since it turned out to be quite lengthy once I started it ... LOL:
