Apparently my son didn't read the same book his mother and I did... the one that says babies sleep around 18 hours a day.

Christopher

I opened this thinking there would be photos....

I do know what you mean...one of mine never slept and made it very difficult for awhile...he'll outgrow it when he's a teen, don't worry!

Babies sleep????

Here's what you do...make sure the house is as noisy as it can possibly be...the baby will then decide he cannot cry over everything else, and the hum-drumm of the washers, dryers, dishwashers, and tv will put him to sleep...

See?

Mama hugs...

The baby is here??

When?  I missed it??!!!

Pics please!

And, yes, some babies don't sleep..
they stay awake all night,
their head full of thoughts,
and then...
they grow up and become poets.

BTW....CONGRATULATIONS!!

"and then...

Poets don't need much sleep, y'ever notice that?

I dont know chris, he looked to be sleeping in all the photos... however -- the book you refer to does not exist...LOL I never understood why people always said "they slept like a baby" ... What a sweetie, and as you know it will get better....the sleeping part...LOL

Heh.

Sleep is a privilege, my friend, not a right.

My son was fussy when he was tiny also; now he eats like a horse and sleeps like a rock.  I won't say it gets better, but it does get more interesting ...

He is absolutely a living doll!  I hate to tell you this but they cry for no reason at all sometimes, and I would too if I could get someone to pick me up and hold me

Seriously though Chris check your email, you were on the right track with the dryer so I figured I would show you the answer.

There is nothing quite like a vibrator for a baby, it works!   Either a heated vibrating bouncy chair (like the one I showed you,) or an actual vibrator tied to any old thing works well too.  Let's hope Megan is reading LOL.

Zach would always fall asleep to AC/DC.

"Hell's Bells" in fact.

We thought he was a natural born rocker, but as Kari pointed out, babies will put themselves into a deep sleep in a noisy environment.

But? Now he's back there, playing his beloved Jackson guitar, and scoffs at AC/DC as "too simplistic."

grin...

Enjoy every moment? Ha...my office/bedroom is on the opposite side of the house.

Oh geeeeeeez...now he's got the drum machine going too.

Enjoy, Christopher. It's quite a journey!

I've got a door to go shut.

Beautiful child ya got there. We just recently had a grandson born, T6, or Thomas VI. We're just waiting for a few more years to pass, so we can sit him, stoke him up on sugar, and send him back to his parents. *cackle*
