Here I am again
Alone and drifting away
Watching the sunset
Saying 'Goodbye' to day

Where is here?
I have drifted very long
My eyes have depth
The World sings a tired song

No, I am not ending me
I am here for someone
The search for whom
Is quite overdone

Perhaps it is life itself
I search for day by day
Hoping I find the secret
Through a cloud of shaded grey

It is hard to be uplifting
When all I feel is drained
I feel sometimes I'm different
Like a good person, only stained

I try and make a difference
My life is full of gifts
But I can't change the filter
I mirror it with rifts

One day I'll have forgotten
The lonely time I'm in
Right now it's all I know
I'll embrace it as my kin

--Yeah, it's been a while.  You know me, busy busy busy.  But not busy enough I guess, I still think too much (as you can see).  Hope you all are doing well and I'll try to stay here more often.

Happy Birthday Gene!

Thank you Yu Lan, ESP, swampfaeryie, Gene, and Denise...your comments are wonderful.

By the way swampfaeryie, we also share a favorite poem...
"... And at the closing of the Day,
She loosed the chain and down she lay,
The broad stream bore her far away,
The Lady of Shalott..."
--Alfred Lord Tennyson
