Never

I jumped from thy ship not knowing how cold thine water
rudely I commented and insinuated about your daughter,
thine forgiveness lost from ye eyes no choice but to jump
amongst thy cold legs all tangled into this seaweed clump.

Mine petticoat weighting down succumbed to thy saturation
baffled as to length of time one can stay at water's elevation,
I shall stay focused there has to be a simple way out of here
else I try and swim with petticoat and possibly drown I do fear.

Thine skin turning numb thy water fierce upon thine bareness
mine body growing tired canst bear to stay afloat in weakness
Thine will I've done so wrongly so cast I be to die here at sea
my only regret now is never being serenaded by a symphony.

Heaving bosoms and ripping bodices methinks.
Your words serenade me like a symphony.

May your roof never fall in and those beneath it never fall out.

Esmeralda,
I shivered as I read this one, your imagery is so vivid! A Musical symphony could not compare to the Beautiful Music you create with thine pen! WELL DONE!

*shivers*  Brr.. You did a wonderful job with bringing your words to life..    Pardon me while I grab my coat..

MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU,
MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK
MAY THE SUN SHINE UPON YOUR FACE
THE RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS
AND, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN,
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE PALM OF HIS HAND

Wonderful poem! I love the imagery you created with the written word!

I could not live without music.  The last line here makes me sad.  Wonderful tale though, Esmeralda.  Loved it.
