Like a mountain, we began
Seeking our lovers crest
Yes there were valleys too
But we rose to meet each test

Without you life was a desert
My soul was dry and forlorn
I sought a mountain stream
Hoping our love would be reborn

Then we found our hearts
In the forest of despair
Lovers lost in lies
We stumbled without care

The horizon now before us
Yours east, mine is west
We part our landscapes here
We’ve failed the lover’s test.

Very very nice I can relate ... why is so easy to fall in love but so hard to say goodbye ? Good job

Wow, PdV, this is even better than usual...but of course, all your poems are great!   Kinda sad, yeah, but it's still great...

Hhhhhhmmmmm.......PdV, I have to ask.....have we been living the same life in a parallel universe??!!  It would appear so.  Nicely written, although I know the inspiration was painful if this is drawn from personal experience.

Thank you all for your kind words. I live in an 'alone'ness....not lonely all the time but alone most of the time..even in a crowd of friends I stand apart....

PdV-

This is so sad, but beautiful feeling behind it and superbly written.
