She sleeps beneath the river bed, where the water lilies grow,
she runs in the forrest where the moonlight shows.
She lays her body down in the soft sweet ground,
she watches the tree limbs sway and listens to the sound.
She cuts through the spaces of the sky 'till the stars shine bright,
she waits for the pure velvet to return her light.
She scatters glitter over head,
she leaves white dust in her stead.

Some say she is the darkness, some say she is the moon
i just think that winter is a finely playing tune.
No lyrics to her rhythm,no rhythm to her word,
just a simple song that we have all heard...

"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou "i said" art sure no craven." Ghastly grim and ancient raven, wandering from the nightly shore, tell me what

Great post of what is seen, In the midst of winter themes.  Enjoyed reading such a smooth piece.

A quite nice description, and I like the way the last stanza goes.

Really like your description of winter and as I sit here in a chilly house I enjoyed shivering to your nice little tune.

Lovely imagery.
And a belated welcome to Passions.
With words like these you will be a fine welcome to the family.

I have to agree with everyone here!
Beautiful imagery, my dear!
Portraying our Winter in splendor,
I think I should take this and send her
Your gorgeous work of art--so much alike
To Winter's snowflakes in the night;
Delicately woven, the pattern is clear!
A masterpiece you have created here.

Great to hear from you Swamp! I don't think this is your first post though!

I love this, especially...

No lyric to her ryhme, no rythm to her word,
Just a simple song that we have all heard.
