Flourescent moon in pastel light,
so dear to me in darkest night.
Clense my soul with mystic rays,
invade my dreams, fulfill my days.

A billion stars with ageless light,
bejewel thy head with clusters bright.
Tides obey thy ancient song,
drifting clouds thy crown adorn.

Thy silent phases constant, true,
reflect thy children, old to new.
Royal mother of nocturnal might,
heed thy subject's plea tonight.

Embrace the creature earthly bound,
whose love for thee in whispers sound,
a truth known only to the dove,
my pledge of everlasting love.

the woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and many miles to go before I sleep...Frost

This was wonderful! I'm left in awe. I love the style of this poem. The elizabethan adds to it perfectly. Great job!

Pegasus,
Wonderful praise for the nocturnal sentry of our nights! What a welcome friend to cheer us through the dark hours. Very well written my friend.
