I love the way your kisses
whisper softly near my ear,
and sip the very tips of my fingers
before they flutter gently against my lips.
But it is your eyes that hold me captive,
your blue eyes,
vast oceans of infinite depth,
that impel me to come closer,
closer, yet,
it is your eyes that I
am drawn to,
Hypnotized, mesmerized,
I am your prisoner,
helpless,
sliding with reckless abandon,
cast onto waves of ecstasy,
plunged,
deeper and deeper into pools of blue ice-fire,
breathless, drowning, lost,
unable and unwilling,
to save myself,
from the powerful current
that pulls me ever further,
into the passionate sea
of your magnificent blue eyes.

Well, being brown-eyed myself, I've always had a thing about beautiful blue eyes!
I guess that's why I married my blue-eyed guy!

Debbie~
This is a very sensual piece of poetry.
How tenderly your heart is talking ...

'I love the way your kisses
whisper softly near my ear,
and sip the very tips of my fingers
before they flutter gently against my lips.'

Just melting ....

Awww so sweet

I prefer brown eyes myself, but this poem could make me reconsider.     Very nice!

I am an avowed fan of green...(prolly cause I have green eyes lol)

This is cool...liking it!

Definitely an emotive work.

Like a human without illusions...
This is how the wind shifts:
Like a human, heavy and heavy,
Who does not care.

I am with Severn!  Green eyes are the best.  Great poem, very expressive.  More, more, more!

What a way to descibe the hues that hypnotize, and drift away the senses. Excellent job here on this poem, and I have to agree there is something about those blue's.

Alicia, thank-you for your kind response, glad you liked it!

Sol, those loved ones...they didn't call you a green-eyed monster did they? LOL!  That's what we called our green-eyed daughter when she was little!

Lost Dreamer, when I met my husband, his eyes were so vivid blue that they were distracting.  Yes, just the eye color made my senses go haywire, all I could see were those eyes!

There are so many shades of blue.I love blue eyes too.I like the way you expressed how they capture you  Like a prisoner to a pair of eyes. Gateway to the soul i guess that is why it was so strong  . Very well written .You took me right along with you.   Suzanne
