Well, to start, I have a great dad
And a wonderful family too.
Sometimes I wonder why I had
To do some things that I do,
Like having to go to Church sometimes,
To sit through the hour-long Mass,
When I could be writing rhymes--
A better way for time to pass...
As you can see, I had none too much faith
In religious matters and such,
Until one day, January eighth
I got some (a little too much...)

I was walking down a city street,
Feeling serene and shuffling my feet
When a car came by,
I liked to wave "hi",
And also to people I'd meet.

But suddenly I felt knots in my back,
My chest felt heavy, my muscles went slack,
I just felt like sleeping
Like I'd done too much eating--
Until I realized it's a heart attack...

I crashed to the ground, my wings were shaking,
So was my tail, my whole body was aching,
I tried to do my very best
To resist the cardiac arrest
But deep down I was only faking...

So one recourse came my way,
I rarely do it, but started to pray.
A few minutes later,
I felt a bit safer
That I'd get to see another day.

Sure enough, an ambulance came,
Stabilized me and eased my pain.
Quickly and surely saved my life,
Took out from my heart the invisible knife.

It seems that I'm cared for by more fathers than one,
In the darkest night to the rise of the sun,
I get from both a lot of love.
Some from Earth, and some from above.

I've got a little more faith now than I did before!

Welcome to Passions, William! (Bill?)
I really hope you enjoy it here, we like to be nice to each other around here and I'm kind of the unofficial welcoming committee. Again, welcome!

Little Spyro -

Your words just engulf me everytime I read them.  This is fabulous, as always.  Never lose sight of the love in your life, both physically and spiritually. What a great welcome for Bill.

I felt I should bring this to the top again...I hear Bill's leaving!!

I really hope he doesn't go too soon--and if he does that he doesn't come and visit too seldom!
