I love so many, But are loved by so few, I am not so important, These are old feelings not so new. I'll never be that welcoming light, Shining in the window, Never be the one he can't live without, Why I just don't know. I see others in love, I admit a tiche of jealousy, None of that for me, When will it find me? I'm nobody's muse, No-one's burning light, I feel so alone, Late, late at night. I'm loved I know, But not as I need to be, A bright light for others, I will never be. DON'T WORRY I'M NOT OVERLY DEPRESSED OR ANYTHING  JUST WANTING TO BE REALLY LOVED IN THAT SPECIAL WAY..The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there IS to celebrate. ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

I can relate to this, Isis. I think sometimes when we are married for so long we tend to take each other for granted. Don't assume, though, that you are not that light to him. Maybe he doesn't realize that you are right now. I bet if all spouses took a vacation from each other for a couple of weeks, both would come together again with a whole new appreciation for the other! Don't be blue, Isis, you are not alone in this. I think more people than we realize feel the same way. It is easy to put on a show of affection for outsiders. This is a wonderful poem, btw! Denise |
