     So nin-nods the anthropod

We pray beliefs upon cold stones
Where underneath ancestral bones.
Woe to the wind, go with God
So nin- nods the anthropod.

We sail on glories past violence
And we awe in faith and silence.
We kneel in brutal homage as
As we spin the wheel of carnage..

With devious Gods we have spun
Even made a God of the sun.
Gods and demons of hidden things
And from them we conjured up one.

But now we speak agnostic thoughts
For all that we have made and wrought.
Its challenge and philanthropy
And blind justice philosophy.

But we can't seem to cede an end
Where underneath doth lay a friend
We cannot seem to cede, just moans
Nor can we seem to cede, just bones.

And it still does not seem that odd
As we whisper there, go with God.

Seymour , wow a lot of food for thought. THis needs a few more reads for my slow brain to process everything. excellent imagery "We sail on glories past violence
And we awe in faith and silence.
We kneel in brutal homage as
As we spin the wheel of carnage.."
I especially loved this verse. VEry deep and intense read.

Excellent writing, Sy! I think deep inside everyone, even an agnostic, there is a belief or a wish to belive in God.

Seymour-
  Great writing.
This one is a real thinker.
As Brian said, it is going to
take a few reads to digest it all.
  Thanks for sharing.

Yo Sir Tabin!  Was waltzing around page seven or eight and found this jewel.  Read it once and said "What?" Did a double take and said "Wow!" This be one solid read!  True thinking man's poetry.  So back to the top you go my friend.  Peace!
