You say that I start trouble and that there is drama constantly; you say that I need too much, and that the problems start with me. But what you fail to realize is that I know what’s going on; You see, I had a vision of what I wanted… way before you came along. I pictured a man who can make me melt in a solitary glance; a man who can sweep me off my feet, with adoration and romance. A man who will help me up when the world pushes me down; a man who can ease my mind, without a single sound. A man who will always tell me what’s really on his mind; and share with me his frustrations, knowing I won’t leave him behind. A man who is warm and compassionate letting his feelings flow to me; not afraid to show his heart, and trust me with the key. A man who will be fair when things get out of hand; a man who can accept his defeats, and when he has to, take a stand. A man who is strong enough to reveal his weaknesses to me; a man who is not perfect, but knows I will love him endlessly. Maybe what I am looking for is not my destiny; Maybe what I seek out, is all part of a fantasy. But to believe that is to believe that I am settling for less; and then I must live forever, knowing my heart chose second best. I love the way your poem rhymes. You have clearly asked what you seek. I am 5"11, brown skin, just kidding.
