Tenacious black ant
Steadily builds his ant hill
Wind soon knocks it flat!

.............................

  Moonbeams radiate
As the veiling cloud has past
Playful shadows dance!

Gosh! We just sprayed our backyard for ants...the horrible little beasts were biting our dogs....but they were red ants, surely not as lovable as a black one. I like your Haiku btw.

like this post very much, Dennis....often in awe at the perservence in adversity these tiny little creatures often show us! they can sure teach us a lesson or two

a challenge for you if i may...i have posted A Poet's Tragedy in Open#8 and will like your comments but more IMPORTANTLY, i challenge you to write a poem using THAT dark, sombere title, injecting it with your usual dose of humour

love to see what you will come up with

aw the poor ant... a real tear jerker.
really enjoyed the poem.

A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.
