bringing this up, eager for more comments and another ode to writer's block

Ode to Writer's Block

Writing in vain
Drowning in pounding rain
Dying under torrents of pain

ow my thoughts are like a flowing river
my pen brusts with poems...suddenly it shivers.
no ones come...who put a dam in my fountion of inspiration?

a wonderful poem kaile, you summed up writers block perfectly in those 5 words.

A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.

Kaile, do you remember this one?

Writers Block Tanka

Blank paper stares back
Defiantly mocking me
I grab my scissors
Fold and cut pattern outline
I now laugh, at paper dolls!

Next sheet taunts me too
Laughing at my feeble ploy
To regain control.
It gets folded in defeat
Origami, sweet revenge!

The sheets that remain
Whisper of my sure demise
Fall in the shredder.
Inspiration now arrives
Where'd all my darn paper go?

Your ode sums it up so well! nice work!
Dennis :^)
