Henry's Diary -
Supplemental
______________________________________________
Kharóshi's Journal
<9.4.2000>

Here I am, right under a tree,
Sitting next to Henry and feeling so free;
There's something about this journey of his
That makes me think my duty is this.

From what I can tell, it's three in the morning,
There's mist in the air and the dew is forming
On the leaves and the land all around,
And when the sun rises there isn't a sound.

I've followed this dragon around for a while,
Watched him eat, watched him sleep and smile...
When he dreams, I hope he can see
That I wish he was dreaming a lot about me...

Wow, I remember the times that I danced,
'round and round the Garden and pranced;
With my boyfriend, he was the best,
And on his shoulder my head I'd rest...
Henry is nice, and kinda cute!
But to return to my home...I'm not that astute
Enough to go back, to find my way...
Maybe I'll find my home someday.

Henry still doesn't know about me,
But soon enough, he'll know, you'll see!
I think I know why I'm following him where-
ever he goes, it's 'cause I care
If he reaches that place he seeks for so,
Though he doesn't know when or where to go.

We're quite alike, this dragon and me,
Though it may not be plain to see,
We both seek freedom, but not to roam
For we both know, somewhere, exists our home.

Until next entry,
Kharóshi

You have a wonderful gift for poetry.... Thank you for sharing it with me.

I like this poem, soothing rythym and flow, very nice read.  I feel the yearning and longing emotions as well!

lol thanks Beverly!   I tried writing this from something like my girlfriend's perspective...It's not easy!

I don't think Henry knows about Kharóshi yet...but he'll find out about her soon enough!

Lil Spyro,

Wonderfully written...enticing and from a woman's point of view even.  Must be hard to do but you handled it marvelously... Great!        ~~Jamie

Excellent little dragon.  Trying to write from your girlfriends perspective can't be easy but you've done a great job.  That you would even consider what her perspective would be speaks highly of you.
