Waiting

Aromatic succulence of oven roasted bird
Dressed and stuffed with opulence in nuts and raisined herb
Sweet potatoe cassorole is bubbling all around
Dough is in the muffin tins just waiting to be browned

Table’s set and eagerly awaiting hungry guests
Clamoring to taste the juicy white of turkey breast
Thanksgiving won’t begin to warm my waiting heart once more
Til little feet of happiness come prancing through my door

Thanksgiving just wouldn't be the same without the family around, would it! A very loving poem.

Elizabeth~

Loved the aroma !
As we gather together we take time to
count the blessings that surround us
and be thankful for those who touched our lives.

May you be surrounded with love.

I can't wait! We'll be celebrating at my daughter Trisha's house this year, her first time at playing the hostess! Your poem made my mouth water, Elizabeth! Scrumptious!

I didn't know that Liz...you and Tony will be in my prayers. What a rotten way to have to spend Thanksgiving for both you and him. God bless you.
