Where do I begin? she said,
panicking. The knots lay in a heap
waiting to be untangled.

- Just grab a knife and cut them -

But a life severed out of frustration
didn't appeal and she sought
other alternatives;
began picking at the string -
ripping fingernails -
her mind the cotton her heart
fraying.

(still ignoring the offered knife)

But when her abraded fingers developed
cramp and [her mind the cotton her heart]
hung from one frayed piece of string,
she looked at the knots and gave up,
turned away - sighed, cried, looked
tantilizingly at the knife.

- Go on, it's the easiest way -

But a life severed out of pain
saddened Him and He said instead
"It is finished" and died.
The string lay before her,
knotless, whole.

Dont we so often want to take the easy way out of situations, and in turn miss out on a piece we may in the end need. In this case cutting the rope would have left it in pieces not a whole. Sometimes we have to deal with the knots on our ropes so we can have the whole thing. Gratly expressed message here! And I add my welcome also!
