GIVE BIRTH TO HIS POETRY

Today I take my pen in hand
as Christ smiles down upon me
His Spirit guides each stroke
while my heart writes what God wants u to see

The realm and the meaning
can stretch far and wide
for the Lord knows all the circumstances
that his people keep deep inside

Love vs hate
while faith vs fear
obedience fighting rebellion
words at times we wish not to hear

But as the love of Christ lives in me
flowing so full and free
I must obey the calling given
and give birth to His Poetry

We are no more than a vessel
in God's shipyard of this life
an instrument to be molded and used
for the glorification of his son Christ

Yet the hands of this Master Builder
has made each vessel special and unique
the purpose and plan for you
will come when it's God"s face that u seek

So as I write these words
visualize the circle that they create
God-my heart-my hand-my acceptance
that there is a message He wants to relate

Even when I can't find meaning
to what my pen places down
someone else will open my eyes
saying"these words have turned my life around"

Thank you Lord, for this gift of writing
that you have placed in my life
seasons of sharing feelings and thoughts
with my Savior Jesus Christ

So never deny yourself
the gift of pen in hand
for God wants you to share whats in you
with the people in this land

For from freely giving
comes love,happiness and peace
the rewards Christ offers
when we write of his sweet release

May your pen always flow
in love-truth-and honesty
give honor and praise to Jesus
the real Author that lives in you and me

Hi Rose Mary,
I'm new here, and haven't seen your poems before. This is a beautiful poem, and you and your poem came along just when I needed to hear those words (thanks for the tip Becky).
Thank-you for being there when I needed you.

I know my poetry is without good form and sometimes feel far too unpolished to post, yet one'll just run through and through my mind until I write it and post.  Then, just as you said, someone will say this is just what I needed to hear, so I'm sure we're prompted to share whatever measure of gift we're given.  Yours is full measure as are most everyones on this forum.  Bless you
