You write words, you make pictures, you write flowers...What do you see?
With more words, and more pictures, you write trees...What do you see?
Lofty words, brighter pictures, you write sky...What do you see?
Graphic words, living pictures, you write Earth...What do you see?
Soulful words, awesome pictures, you write heart...What do you see?
Painful words, dreadful pictures, you write hurt...What do you see?
You write father, you write mother...See them?...Who do you see?
A close friend, or any other... now then...Who do you see?
As you're writing, write down Jesus...look now...Who do you see?
Well look closer, it's your moment...once more...Who do you see?
Are you writing? Painting pictures?...Try now...Who do you see?
Are you looking? What's your heart say?...O.K.?...Who do you see?
Are you searching for the answer?...Ready?...Who do you see?
Have you sought the face of Jesus?...Alright...Who do you see?
Have you seen him, standing, knocking?...Open the door...you'll see

Unusual and interesting poem. Thanks, Ellie

Jester - I really liked this one.  Isn't it amazing how our mind's eye can see it all... even more amazing is how we need only to open that door.  This is great.  Bonnie

I have to say, this made me think of what we should see, but don't always see. For God is in everything, but we too often don't always see that. We have but to open the door of our hearts and let him in

If this is Writer's block, I sure wish I had it!  I enjoyed this Jester!

good job on thie one. a real thought provoker. sometimes i wonder, is there more than meets the eye? sometimes, there is. sometimes, things are just as they seem. it takes havig to look with my heart, the way i feel your poem encourages.
thanks jes.

My Mother-in-law once said, "wouldn't it seem easier to love Jesus if we could actually see what He looks like?"  I amazed myself responding, "He looks like kindness, compassion, helpfulness, inspiration, encour-
agement, teacher, healer, etc."  I've never forgotten the insight that question gave me.
Your work is far from writers block.  It's an indepth piece so very well put.

Fellow poets:
Thanks so much, for your nice comments. I'm afraid I've misled you though. I don't have writer's block.I don't even know what that tastes like. It was supposed to be sort of a metaphor for how we block out Jesus sometimes. Thanks for all the nice pictures you wrote.

Jester-  How well the questioning technique serves us to see more, see better-see reality-see potential--and see shallowness which often invades the thought process unless we are asking ourselves those important questions:  What Do I see?  And Whom do I see?  A Good Thought provoking poem here--Thank you,  David

Hi Jester,
Your last line is my favorite and pretty much will be our guide to the thought provoking questions you have given, "Have you seen him, standing, knocking?...Open the door...you'll see"
I took my lead from your response to the poem, so I hope this isn't cheating. {smile}
God Bless You,  Marcy

This is very good, Jester. I like the questioning theme..we always question why? Now we should just seek 'who'....
