A WONDERFUL TREE

Lord you have planted your seed
inside me to grow and grow
help me through thy Spirit
to teach me all that I must know

Let my seed take root
and grow into A Wonderful Tree
full of branches of you my God
so that I may lovingly serve thee

Child as you rise and bloom
branch by branch we will entertwine
I shall supply all your needs
as your heart becomes like mine

Paitence is the first branch
that we need to grow
for your time and my time
hold a difference you have to know

Next is the obedience branch
one that satan will try to break
for when you obey my will and way
all is true and nothing is fake

The third branch required
is a heart full of compassion and care
one that has a multitude of leaves
and each leaf your willing to share

Next there are branches
of righteousness and truth
these branches get their strength
from deep down in the root

The whole trunk of your tree child
that holds our branches in place
is built on the love we share
when you pray and seek My Face

So let us build your wonderful tree
that my lost will be drawn to
let the beauty, love and kindness you'll share
always and forever shine through

Then together we can plant
another seed inside someone today
and they too can become A Wonderful Tree
as they grow in my will and way

Thank-you Rose Mary, for this inspiring poem. I think God planted a mustard tree in you, "A Wonderful Tree". Very nice!

What a beautiful analogy! This is superb writing! I will print this one if that's alright with you? I'd love to share this with my kids.
