Whom do I love?

I love my mum and my dad;
They're so good to me.

I love my closest friends;
They have fun with me.

I love my boyfriend;
He's amazing!

I love the Lord;
WHY????

The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is gentle and kind,
Patient and powerful,
The Lord is awesome.

Love for whom?
Love for the Lord and for his creation and people.

Ruthie -I think you have hit upon the truth well, we learn about love first through our earthly ties as a primer for seeing & knowing, and appreciating the Ultimate in love, which allowed us the other loves in the first place!  You have given us a good perspective as well as good biblical directives.  Who could argue with that line up?  Thank You,   David

I really like how you put that bit of real thinking for us at the end. Incorporated scripture there too! Well done

Dear Ruthie; Ditto all the above. We do learn that love as children andknow His love through them. The scripture is perfect too. Lovely poem. Thank you so much. Love, Ellie

This is great Ruthie. We all need to feel loved, but so many don't want to give it. Thanks for allowing us to see that you do. He is Love magnified in your words.
God bless.
Sincerely,
Rwood
