Have you ever really loved someone,
And known they didn't care?
Have you ever really loved someone,
And known you'd get no-where?
You see my friend; don't fall in love,
You'll get hurt before it's through.
You see my friend; I ought to know,
I fell in love with you.

Dear Ruthie; Unrequited love is very painful.
I think with much prayer, the Lord will bring someone who is just right for you. Remember that you are a very lovable person and you deserve the very best. Don't settle for less. I believe the Lord has some wonderful surprises for you. Love, Ellie

I can only echo what Ellie has to say. I can speak from past experience, Prayer does work! Even to guide you to the one you are to be with.
Sincerely,
Rwood

This poem speaks with emotional volume, we all will give our love to many in our lifetimes, and many of those times it will not be reflected back at us. There will always be God shining love on us even when we may not be shining love back for anyone else.
