The stream meanders through meadow and glen.
      Dragonflies skate in joyful abandon,
             as does my heart now.
The shy morning dove, comes to the
                bank to drink,
so my thirst is abated, as your word
                quenches me.

The stream gurgles over rock and stone.
Past a farmhouse weathered and worn,
in need of repair, as my soul once was,
until your Life giving waters set it free.

There a bridge spans the stream,
        connecting meadow to glen,
as I now feel connected with the
                universe.

The stream flows freely, where once
it was dammed with limb and leaf.
So too was I with fear and pain,
       until your Grace flowed through
                my heart.

And on it flows in joyful song.
         Singing a waterfall of joy.
             A joy I never knew,
till You sang me into life

Soon the stream kisses the sea,
              and they are one.
          Stream lost and unseen in
               endless ocean,
as I am lost in Thee

Oh Ellie, This was is a ten!! I felt the love of our Lord filling me up as I read your poem. I think you have captured the ultimate joy of serving Him, to be "really lost in His love", just as this stream was lost and one with the ocean. Just beautiful. Bless you today, ellie. Marcy

Dear ELLIE,
The thing I like about this poem, (a true reflection of it's writer) is how with every step along the way, you were able to find the spiritual meaning & message which it suggests, and convey it wonderously to us.
Oh such a spirit of discernment & contentment I see, yes, even in anticipating eternity!  All I can say is, Write on, dear friend, yes, Right on!!!!   David
