As a pure white dove unfurls his wings
Inviting the warmth of the new son
He soars above the brilliance of the daffodills
Spreading news of the hope reborn

Beyond the shadows of doubt
The days become long
He watches a string of purple wysteria
Readily sacrifice it's pearls
He finds his soul mate sitting in the shade
Of the steadfast mountain laurel

The red and yellow roses become windswept
Tossing their colors to the trees
The leaves become painted
In sweet surrrender
The willows weep and bow to their knees

His roost is exposed
Limb from limb
desperately he clings
The harvest moon will prove his plight
As he waits for the summoning

Patience tests the pure white dove
He feared he would begin to blend in
As the fairwell kisses fell from the sky
His master bid him a graceful good-bye
And sent him to south
To stand out
Against greener grass

Thank you everyone so much. I was attempting to paint *Christ's birth..No doubt our days will still be hard and long...but even nobility will give up their worldly things ..hence purple..laurel meaning faith and glory and honor...surrendering of our hearts and becomming humble before him...exposing our faith and clinging to it.. the harvest of what we sow as we wait the second coming. And if we start to blend in with the world God will step in and help us find one another. Even if it requires standing out and being strong.
Thanks for all your wonderful praises and encouragement.
Sincerely,
Rwood
