Thankyou Lord for thy bounty, I am thankful for breath and life, The sun and the rain, For being a mother and wife. I'm thankful for new friendships, Formed amid the pain, Thankful for moments shared with my son, My smiles are forming again. I thankyou for two wonderful parents, You blessed me, when they adopted me, Without them who knows where I'd be? With them my heart was free. They showered me with loving, Showed me a better way, Such a family, so precious to me, A sanctuary at the end of the day. I enjoyed young Eleanor's baptism Lord, To rest again in your special house, To feel your loving and power there, A peace nothing could douse. I thankyou Lord for all I love, My music, poetry, friends and family, I'm thankful there's always such gifts, Handy, just waiting for me. Thankyou for this beautiful world, The deserts, bush and sea, The beauty and peace of a rainforest, Treasures for all your children to see. I thankyou Lord for loving me, Even though I was born in sin, For forgiving man all his crimes, For allowing us to recieve you within. You've made a wonderful life for me, Full of friendship, love and family, I hope my happiness can be an example, I hope that others see just what you did for me. ------------------ Through poetry my heart and soul truly sing... ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Another great poem of thank to the Lord, who most deserves it! I especiall liked the part about hoping that others can see what He has done for you! I know that is something most of us wish for.
