Tonight as I turn to You in prayer, I know You've been patiently waiting here. While I have gone on my heedless way With scarcely a thought for You today. Forgive me dear Lord for slighting You. It is not that I really wanted to. I've been so busy with my own affairs, I thought You'd wait for my nightly prayers. But I know You were helping me anyway With every decision I made today. You were here as I turned the clocks ahead, And You're near as I'm kneeling by my bed. I thank You now for your faithful care And Your presence when I am unaware. Joyce, What a wonderful prayer of recognition given to our Lord. Oh my gosh, don't we get busy doing just everyday things of life. Running here and running there. I too am so grateful for those quiet times spent on my knees before the Lord like you have expressed here. Again, your prayer is so down to where we're at and true to our everyday life.
