Lord, Can You Visit Me Today?

There's a room inside me, and when sorrow sets in,
I go there for comfort, It is deep within.
My room is private, I can't tell you where,
My Lord and Savior, He is always welcome there.

I need not keep it spotless
Dust and dirt He does not see
For He has come to visit
And He cares only about me.

Yet tidy I keep it, and I don't need much light,
For when He enters, my room gets so bright.
He stays for a while, and His peace He leaves,
And as He is parting, all His love I receive.

There is no door, it is not needed here,
For Him it is open, and there is no fear.
All I need is to ask, as on my knees I pray,
Dear Lord, do You have time, can You visit me today?

My rooms never empty, but filled with such peace.
And when I do sorrow, He sends sweet release.
This room will be here, for as long as I stay,
Until I reach His mansion, On that glorious day.

Floria

Dearest Floria; I feel so at peace, just reading your words has touched me deeply..thank you. Love, Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

floria, this is beautiful. I also have a little room. It is my control center! I call it my seventh sense. Like sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste, the five senses everyone knows. Then there is a sixth sense, some call intuition.

Well God visits me through my seventh sense. And I try to keep those spiritual eyes wide open. And in this little room he floods my spirit with hot energy and light, to give me peace and joy as He  overrules all of the other senses!

Thanks for sharing these beautiful thoughts.

Newell, Isn't it wonderful? Me too. I wish everyone could have this, It is where I get my strength. Everything good comes from this seventh sense..thanks. floria

Floria, this offered such comfort today. Sometimes during pity parties, I think I'm alone in my little room but I know whose planted those little seeds of doubt. I must go visit my room now after your lovely poem. Thanks for sharing. Cheryl

Thank you Cheryl. I have small pity parties too sometimes, but they don't last long, I just go to my sacred room. floria

Thank you Joyce, Yes He most certainly does, and sometimes when I don't ask, He just drops in. floria
