As on Time's Brink, it's Guard to Change,
It seems so different and so Strange
That we could leave behind a Friend,
Who was e'er present when our Life began--
Whose Time is up, and now must flee,
Making way for a Brand New Century!

At the awesome Moment of it's Debut,
May we all pause in Prayer that's true
And ask a Blessing on Time's Gift,
A Prayer for All Mankind to lift.
May we well Learn from our Times Past,
Not to bring forth and Sin's Shadows cast
Upon this New Start, may God's Grace smile,
And mankind refrain from sin, to defile.

And may the Goodness that we have known,
Now More and More be brightly shown
That more to God, may find their way,
Leading forth to that Bright Eternal Day--
In true Fulfillment of Time's Quest,
To share in the Fullness of the Blest!

May this New Year and Century,
Bring Peace and Prosperity--
Renewed Hope for those of Low Degree,
Humility to the Proud, More Grace received!
To God be all Praise, Who has blessed us from of
old,
Bless to Mankind this Cent'ry, and all we shall
behold!

God Bless You all in the New Year & Century Ahead!

Despite the fact that my birthday is New Year's Eve, this changing of centuries hasn't seemed like a big deal to me. Given all the doomsday predictions (ie no water, electricity, heat etc) it has been more of an anoyance. No one has really talked at all about what it is truly to be about.
