You have shown me the red leaves of autumn,
And a rose that lives on through the frost,
You have given me sunsets on cold, crisp nights,
And You've found me when I have been lost.
You have walked with me through the meadow,
You have danced with me under the stars,
You have given me hope when hope was lost,
And You've healed so many old scars.
You have taken my hand when I was alone,
You've led me through darkness to light,
You've loved me when I was unloveable,
And You have helped me to make the wrong right.
You have gently taken my burdens,
You've sent angel's to hold and embrace,
You have given me strength when I was weak,
And You have filled my life with Your grace.
For this I humbly send up my prayer,
And I thank You for all that You give,
For showing that simply surviving,
Was really no way to live.
And for the rest of this journey,
That darkness won't have a chance,
I'll continue to walk in Your soft light,
And not miss our next moonlit dance.

Dear Bonnie; You have so perfectly summed up, with each poem mentioned that you've written (I recognize each one), the wonder of His loving care and Grace. Magnificent!
Your poems make me feel like I'm soaring with the angels! Love, Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Bonnie once again I'm left without words.
He does SO much for us, though we are less than deserving of it.

You've written perfectly how awesome our God is! Just beautiful!

Bonnie,

Fabulous poetry!!  He has done so much for us all and we didn't even have to ask Him.  Lovely writing.

I,too, remember your past posts as I read these beautiful lines, Bonnie.  I can't picture greater joy than dancing with our Lord.  Thank you for all the wonderful pictures you paint with your words that so greatly honor Him.

Hi, Bonnie... this is a very special piece... so well written with so much substancea nd truth. i have been searching through the spiritual forum to find one more poem to submit to the Passions newsletter and i'd like to submit this one. Would it be alright with you if we print this in at the online newsletter at....
http://poetry-magazine.com/poetry/catalog/index.htm

and also if it gets emailed to thousands of people on the internet??? hehe...

could you email me and let me know? when you say yes (and i hope you do), could you include the (c) name you want to use? if it's your pen name, that's fine...

This is so beautiful!  It sums up God's amazing grace so perfectly.  I know Jesus is going to bind this poem in His library for sure!  I really like:
"And I thank You for all that You give,
For showing that simply surviving,
Was really no way to live."
wow!!!!!! just perfect

Oh, dear Bonnie, what a loving, thankful poem/prayer, so full of wisdom from a heart full of love for Jesus. This one leaves me  speechless, except to say, it is one of my favorites by you.  Marcy
