Life Like Poems

A funny thing about poetry is
That poems are always changing.
Fifty years from now...
I'll probably still be rearranging.

I'll read a poem a million times
And think that I've got it all just right,
And then a new thought will come to me
In the middle of the night.

Different words become popular,
Fresh phrases come into view,
And the music of a beautiful melody
Will make everything brand new.

Life like poems is quite unique;
Life never stays the same--
I think that I have life all figured out,
And then it becomes a brand new game.

Different trends become popular,
New relationships come my way,
And a good word or a little good luck
Can really make my day.

The funny thing about living is
That life is always changing.
Fifty years from now...
I'll probably still be rearranging.

LightHouseBob~
Is this the truth or what ???
Life is always changing and re-arranging.
God moves us where He needs us to be ...
I try to be packed and ready !

Enjoyed your thoughts.

Bob; You've written a wonderful analogy about poetry and life, so full of wisdom and truth. Like Marge says, the key is to ready for God's directions.  Ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

So TRUE!  When you get that little verse at night, be sure and write it down.
It might just become another new poem

Some days we get the hum-drum of life, but I'm glad it's ever so changing...helps it from becoming stagnant!

Great read and display of an ever changing life Bob!!

Marge,

You're a delight!  Maybe that's what the scripture means to be instant in season and in out.  I guess We'd all better have our bags packed.  God Bless You, Bob <><

Ellie,

You are so right.  We do need to be ready to use whatever gift God has given to us. God Bless You, Bob <><

White Dove,

I am learning to do this more and more.  Yes,  I have heard about "the change of life" but I can't imagine what more change that could possibly be...  Love in Christ, Bob <><

Ah, yes, I learn the answer, they change the question!  Change of life is whenever you reach the point you look more in the past than to the future, isn't it?   Thanks for sharing this analogy and also for your kind comments on my posts.

A Sandgrain,

You may be right... I think a baby can best explain the "change of life", if they could talk they would quote scripture and say, "We do not know yet what we shall become, but we do know that we shall be changed!"  God Bless You, Bob <><
