I was on the edge
Of disaster,
When the light
From your beacon,
Illuminated me,
Tugging me back
From my despair,
Warming my heart
To possibilities
Not considered moments before.

The beacon was your love,
Drawing me to my senses,
Reminding me someone cared,
That I was not alone,
You were by my side,
My friend,
My peace,
An anchor in a troubled storm,
My hope,
My deliverance.

Thank you Dear Lord
For thy tender mercies,
Extended to one
as unworthy as me.

Dear Bro; I love the humility and surrender
to our Lord and the wonderful free verse that you used to make this flow. Your heart is so real and true in this prayer that is so inspiring. Wonderful! Your faith shines here like a beacon! Love, Sis

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

So many people pray FOR something...too few remember to give thanks afterwards. This was well done!

Oh Dennis, This is so beautiful.  His light is shining through in this lovely piece. May it bring peace and hope to others, as it has to me.  Bonnie

Thank the Lord for His Lighthouse on the edge of our disaster.... I could genuinely feel your gratitude in the words of your poem.  Wonderful.  Bob <><

Dennis,

This poem touched me.  I have wrestled with certain things lately
that your words addressed.  The Spirit of God does minister through
heart-felt words.

Keep up the good work.  This seemed to me to be quite in the spirit of
the psalms of the bible.  They are so personal poigniant and real, yet
beautiful also in a literary way.  Thank you.  Know it or not you are a "son of David".

This is really heartwarming Dennis! You've written a great reminder that He's always there for us. That He always leaves the door open for a way out.

Truly a great poem indeed!
