For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:13&14.

Every cell and every pore
bears the imprint of my core
calling on genetics store
from inceptions days

In the womb before I formed
genetic building blocks were warmed
then fed, they multiplied and stormed
began the embryonic phase

As I developed legs and arms
discovered life with all its charms,
imprints of me in micro-farms
began to spread like haze

At my birth genetics knew
what I would look like, what I could do
and into this primordial stew
set my chromosomes ablaze.

As a child I looked to see
family members imaging me
genetic paths to history
set in all its ways.

An adult I, and curious be
so studied reflexology
where I found, imprints of me
on hands and toes and face.

What a wonder what a joy
I see in every girl and boy
passed on imprints, and the ploy
to echo on our race.

Kethry.
When dark of night steals your soul. Think of me and be made whole.

Lynne; You took one of my favorite scriptures and made it sing in this wonderful poem. Beautifully done. ellie

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Lynne, You have done a wonderful job with this, as Ellie said, "it sings."  Bonnie

LynneD; What a grand job you did with the Psalms. Thanks for sharing. Luke 12:7; "But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered,"..........As I was reading this scripture some time ago, I gave thought to the possibility in today's jargon, could this be D.N.A? Just a thought! Great read. Thanks!

Thanks Alle'cram and everyone else. Yes DNA is the imprint I was talking about and I've learned that it is even imposed on memory.  It amazes me that our God is a God of the macro and the micro. Technology thinks it's so clever but it's taken us thousands of years to show what God knew all along. That we each are precious and individual.
