What a glorious day,
The day our Savior arose from the grave.
The grass rejoiced as His feet,
Walked again upon their blades.
The rocks began to plead,
"Please tread on us we pray".
The stars longed to appear,
Just to greet our Lord that day.
The flowers were able to dance again,
As His shadow passed their way.
The trees lifted their branches,
As a holy act of praise.
The birds began to sing their song,
"Oh Lord there's none like you".
"Come closer, whispered the lilies,
"Smell our aroma mingled with the dew".
The animals bowed their heads,
As He slowly made His way,
A silent act of honor,
To the king of peace and grace.
Even the waves of the sea cried out,
"Come play with us our Lord".
And on that day all of nature,
Celebrated like never before.
For the one who had created them,
Walked on the earth once more.

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

This was written beautifully!  Every living thing did rejoice upon that day.  I really like~

"The stars longed to appear,
Just to greet our Lord that day.
The flowers were able to dance again,
As His shadow passed their way."

Just perfect!
God Bless

Welcome Juliet!

This was very uplifting! Wonderful writing!
I haven't really ever looked at it like this, but I bet everything created did just that! Rejoiced!  Beautifully done.

I hope we'll see many more from you!

*you might like to edit this line..."Oh Lord theres none like you". Add an apostrophe ( ' ) in there's.*

Oh, I so enjoyed this lovely poem of praise.
It brought to mind a dream vacation for me. To go and walk, possibly putting my foot in a step that He made along that pathway. Physically touch the earth He stood on. Although, He lives today, within each of us, just reach out, He's there. I loved this poem. So uplifting and beautiful in every way.
