IF YOU ARE A GOD OF LOVE?

If you are a God of Love,
Why is there such misery and woe
And why are the innocent persecuted
Almost everywhere I go?

If you are a God of Love,
Why are the lost is such disarray
And why do they reject your witness
To sadly turn away?

If you are a God of Love,
Why are the elderly neglected
And why are the hungry and homeless people
So carelessly rejected?

If you are a God of Love,
Why do wars continue to increase
And why are our families ending in divorce
With no hope for peace?

If you are a God of Love,
Why do you allow such evilness to reign
And why have you not come to deliver us?
Please, will you not explain?

And I heard the voice of God,
"What you have said is very sad, but true.
Yes, be assured that I am a God of Love...
And that is why I sent you."

You are indeed a lighthouse, Bob, with this message. Yes, He is a God of love, regardless of all that you spoke of, we just have to keep on sharing so He will be lifted up to His rightful place in all ways. I too, sometimes say, come quickly Lord.

""What you have said is very sad, but true.
Yes, be assured that I am a God of Love...
And that is why I sent you."

Just Beautiful and Welcome,
Marcy

LighthouseBob,
WOW! What a powerful message you deliver with this wonderful poem. That last line Chilled me! It is so easy to find fault when we leave ourselves out of the equation, but your poem speaks of our responsibilty and accountability to the one who put us here in the first place. WELL DONE! Great first post, Welcome to Passions and the Spiritual Journeys Forum. You are welcome here friend!
Look forward to your future post! Dennis :^)

Will you add me to the list
Of those by whom you are well-wished
And welcomed to this place
Of Faith andf Love and Grace
And you too have graced our company
In a thought provoking way-
but did not just ask questions-
But tied to show us the way.
We casn be a prt of the problem
Or be part of God's answer instead
God is a God of Love
and for this His beloved Son bled
But we too can Him follow
and do what He has said
Then this world will be better
And God, for us will be glad!

Thank you for your wonderful poem ,Bob--

Deleeme,

Your Welcomed invitation
Melts my pride with Holy shame
For among you I'm not worthy
To be mentioned near His name...

Lighthousebob, welcome, welcome.  The questions posed in your work are the historical, present and future ones of all who have not come to know Christ as their personal Savior.  You've put this in such great form!  It's a saver for me.
