To be or not to be
A question asked by so many
Am I correct?
Am I incorrect?
You tell me,
For what I see
Is hideous and unnatural
People slave to factual
Beings on the ceilings
beating the ground with their wings
Then they try to move on
For all their fun is gone
Yet they do not recognize
That the very thing they despise
Is their master, but not their maker
And oh what great a faker
Chains on their souls
Weights they think make them whole
Yet empty are they
So hear what I say
To be or not to be is not right.
It's to be or not to be in Christ!

Profound and oh so true!  This is a great reminder of whom we should actually be applauding...and I am so glad He gave you this wisdom to share with us all!

Thank you so much Sunshine.  Total blessing indeed.  Didn't mean to be profound guess God knew what he was doing though huh?

Dear J; Ditto on being profound! We only know who "we be" in Christ! Without Him we are only confused. Great poem. Ellie

Hi J,
So much truth in your poem. amen.

"Weights they think make them whole
Yet empty are they
So hear what I say
To be or not to be is not right.
It's to be or not to be in Christ!"

What better way to say it than you have here. Thank you, very well done.
Blessings, keep up the good work.

That last line just slammed it home! Most excellent work!  'Weights they think that make them whole'....what a line, that can apply to almost anything in this world. Our wordly wants.
