A few of you may remember, That I am adopted, I found my biological Mum in 1992, But I never thought I'd find my Dad. Have you ever truly thought, Would it would be like, Having holes in your family tree, Family occasions never feeling quite right. It plagued me I can tell you, I love my adopted parents so much, But I always felt the blood was missing, People never really understood though they tried hard enough. I had no blood in the world, I was all alone, No one just like or a part of me, My heart felt heavy as a stone. Then to my hearts delight, I finally met my biological mother, She had also had 3 daughters, Who were my unknown half sisters. The yearning circle lessened, I had blood family at last, Only one more unanswered question, Only one thing left to ask. My father, what was he like, Where is he now? I'd tried to find him too, I'd had no luck until now. Then just this morning Beryl rang me, Said there was someone who wanted to speak to me, I figured another relative to meet, Who wanted to get to know me. But joy of joys it was my father, I finally could hear his voice, He wanted to get to know me too, He'd said Beryl had made the choice. I'll be meeting him soon, Sometime in the next month or so, And he'll answer all my questions, And share the memories I want to know. I have my blood now, And two complete families, The answers to all my questions, No-one could be happier than me. I'd just like to add that Beryl and Robbie can't replace, The parents that raised me, No one could take their place. They too are so happy for me, My heart need no longer mourn, The unanswered questions from my past, All visible to me now, just like the dawn. ------------------ The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there IS to celebrate. ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |
