Poet; Human

Compassion
abundantly so
and rightly so
is he
the Poet; Human..
to an extent
that he becomes
poetically immortal
beyond
his own imaginings

Robert

Nice one, Robert - and if Shakespeare has survived for 500 years, poets can surely be immortal, don't ya think?

RobertB, I think I would rather be rememberred for what I write instead of what I do. Wonder if I'll be remembered at all?
Love the poem.

Of course, poets can be immoral. Look at Toerag!

Very nicely written, Robert.

Poets can be immortal! Each word you write that is read is imbedded in the mind of the reader...carried on into infinity...the greatest words ever spoken to a poet: I will remember you.

Immortal, the words of the poet writ
inscribed on someone's mind.
Immortal, the words of the poet writ
lives on beyond his/her time.
Yes, Robert, the words of the poet
are immortal.
*Nice job to make me think of immorality.
