are you god ron?
you seem to be to me
you seem to know it all
and give out for free

you never seem to ask
you never seem to hate
just silent admonition
flowing from your gate

are you god ron?
I ask this to be sure
one the first day you made passions
and it seems so pure

the second day, you made Light
and nan turned it on
you said it was good
and the list goes on

are you god ron?
up in heaven on your lap top
typing away on those keys
in it's soft relaxing pop

Xangel rejoiced
and Michael sang his song
the demons did leave
yet the list is still long

are you god ron?
smiling in your chair
as balladeer posts rhymes
with such grace and flair

for on day three you made the forums
the places we leave our works
as you sit up in cyberspace
using the computers and perks

are you god ron?
on the fourth you made workshops
to give us something to do
as you contemplated your thoughts

and we danced across the place
full of frolic and play
like sprites in the trees
as we relaxed at the end of the day

are you god ron?
on the fifth day everything came alive
for the servers were changed
and now we can all survive

and the people multiplied
and filled the worlds holes
as they wrote their celebrations
from north to south poles

are you god ron?
for today is the sixth day
nothing has been done so far
and we await just what you'll say

will you update the main site?
or will we have a chat room?
so many things you can do
we just hope it comes soon.

for tomorrow is the seventh
and then rest, you should
and we can all rejoice as one
god, this is good.

lol couldn't resist. hehe

thanks for all ron. just had to poke a bit of fun at ya. and michael, thanks for the help when I got stuck. hopefully next time I won't accidentally mess up. hehe have fun you guys and take it easy.

=-)

*this is not tended to make anyone embaressed or upset. merely to poke fun at how ron is viewed. no animals were harmed in the making of this piece.*

All hail Ron! For he alone is worthy. Wonderful poem Des, to one who is an inspiration to us all.

Thanks for the reminder, Des. I might just want to mention Ron's name on Thanksgiving day as one of the reasons I am thankful

Are you God Ron?....Are you the one that said I couldn't sit on the left side of you? Are you the one that named me Toerag Satan? Is that why I'm destined to tempt all the good souls here into evil?....Is that why I'm to ever carry this damn pitch fork and be horny all the time? Is that why I'm forever rebuked and chastized by Balladeer? Hunh? Just tell me?.....Okay, 'nuff said, back to designing AOL No. Two and Windows 2000.....hehehehehe!

Hey Desperado..ya need a light?.....I ain't the "light" but I always gotta light?...Does anyone smell somethin' burnin?.......Yanno, old Ms. Jones is something else! Have ya tried my ham?.....My cake?....I would just say "Ta hell with ya all" over Thanksgiving, but I ain't gotta nuff Turkey?...Nice job here Desperado....Ron has done a great job here hasn't he? But, as long as I'm here lurking....doubt his "day of rest" will ever be a complete day of rest. Of course he's got those damn "Angels" he disguises as moderators....

LOL... Not a deity... just a generous guy who's provided us with a grand place. But we do give thanks! *S*

toerag -

it's alright. I've got plenty of matches and I seem to have my own supply of natural gas to dwell on *grin* lets just hope they don't find oil in my brother as well, otherwise exon will prolly put a rig in him and try to steal my royalties.

Well James, I have to say great job here. Let's see first Ron was labeled the Wizard and we were all searching for him, maybe that's why we could not find him cause we were looking in the wrong place. Ron sure is a man to be thankful for since he created this wonderful family that exists here.

Hey, des, little buddy! Pretty cool poem, dude! I guess I got here Justin Thyme to tell ya the answer to your question. Yep, he's god alright. The netgod. Didn't you take "Netgod 101" at the 'stute? The wizard was teaching it from behind this curtain. It was a pretty cool course. Oh, no, guess you weren't there afterall. You were drinking wine coolers and dancing on the table just so you could mess up the scrabble board. Well anyway, yup, I think you got the course down with this poem you done wrote here.

All hail to the Netgod! Pass the turkey and gravy and cranberry sauce! Where did ron get that cranberry sauce anyway? Cranberry bogs somewhere, I guess.

Hey, I was wondering, though, if Ron's the netgod, could he do anything about gettin' me outa this crazy 'stute? YIKES!~ Here comes Cratchet and Doc Moose... gotta jam, little buddy! Later!

Stay safe. And remember, when you go off to fight for your country, think of the Passions motto, "In Ron We Trust". And don't dance on no tables when you're over there or cheat at scrabble 'cause the army's got one humdinger of a 'stute, bud, and I won't be there to help keep ya sane!

He's not a god my friends - You see
He's made of simple human stuff,
And he refrains from wizardry.
He's but a man with Justine Uff
Of what it takes to seem to be

A googol taller than the rest.
No magic or feigned deity,
He is indeed the very best.
His strength is sensitivity;
He makes the sun rise in the west.

A god? He would claim he’s not
A humble, unassuming man
A genius though, tis true
With a wonderful master plan

To bring together writers
As diverse as we can be
To this passionate place
To share our poetry

A god, Ron, perhaps
But only in jest you see
I rather think a Wizard
Performing sorcery

A wave of his wand
And Passions was born one day
A forum, yes, or two
And the legend was underway

New software looming before us
His hand works skillfully there
Willingly he gives of himself
The master of ‘how to share’

Ron, a god?
Perhaps it’s so
But he’ll only smile in negation
Of his talent, yes, he is sure.
Of his deity?
That’s in negotiation

negotiation you say?
that was yesterday.
I'm sure we'd all agree
what we have is what we see.

my eyes are closed to earthly things
and lifted high as fellowship rings.
for though we jest that ron is god,
we still quietly smile and fervently nod.

so today we can say that he is god now
and leave it to history to tell us how.

*laughing all the way to the bank*

*smiling with pearly whites*
