A stroke of light upon the snowy canvas,
And morning slowly rises with a yawn.
Inside the room, a smell of burning candles
Is quickly mixed with freshness of the dawn.
Just hours ago, the stars were gazing in
Right through window’s icy, silver mesh,
And warmth was penetrating through the skin,
When spirits met outside their fervent flesh.
Two lips were locked in an eternal kiss.
Their hungry eyes just seemed to bond them.
The ceiling shook from moans of bliss,
As ancient clay snowed down upon them.
And now this house, like a gallery of art,
Preserves that night, contains my heart.

What a lovely poem-and it really is a nice picture too!

Nail to the mast her holy flag,
Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!
