The hardest thing that one can do-
Is delve inside the mind..
Within the crannies and the cracks,
Not knowing what they’ll find.
Deeds, and dreams from long ago
We tried so to forget-
Aspirations, evil things-
We never shall confess.
To glimpse the evil of our hearts
Perversion of our souls....
Sufficient torture for the worst
Worse than a bed of coals.
Ah, wretch! The saddest sight of all
Which one can ever see....
Is when the enemy is met-
I see that he is me.

You could not have shot any straighter than this, Gunslinger. Excellent thoughts and true to the mark.

Gunslinger, nice work.  I like this one a lot.  By the way, you get your name from Stephen King?  I love his books.
