    What do you think?

Haunted in a daunting way,
But holding major sway.
A hair thin line of strain,
That is driving me insane.

It coverts me in ecstasy,
But causes much indignity.
It is a scourge and a love,
Carried by a dove.

It drives me into sweat and cold,
It makes me weak it makes me bold.
I am but human, what can I do?
When the subject matter speaks of you.

I fence with my ID and parry,
Exhaust myself and tarry.
The battle is episodic
And making me quite neurotic.

My spider web is permanently set
It's up to the fly to hit the net.

If I am reading this right, then I hope it flies into that net!

Sy,
This poem sounds like a boxing match
Between yourself and you
And that can be exhausting
So here's what you should do
Just calm down, take a breath
A cold shower is very nice
Grab a beer,settle down
Lean your head on a pack of ice
Turn on some music or watch TV
Feet in hot tub is very warming
If the symptoms still persist
Take 2 aspirin and then call me in the morning
Take care,
Liz

Interesting...very contradictory - I like.

Perhaps, to echo the contradictions, it is the spider who will be caught!!!

Well written, Sy.
