Do You Believe in Santa?

Some say there is no Santa Claus
But that's a lie! I know, because
I met him once on Christmas Eve
During a hard December freeze
Reindeer breath had turned to frost
Yet Rudolph didn't leave them lost
But tired they were, this is true!
As through the cold, cold skies they flew
So Santa stopped to let them rest
And there was I in my winter best
Out for a walk on white, new snow
Got caught in blizzard's icy blow
Old Santa looked at me and said
"You should be home child, warm in bed!"
I said "Its true, I should be there
And now I'm lost out here somewhere
I came out just to get one gift
Got lost inside that big snow drift
But Santa dear I can't go home
For I can't find my way alone"
And as I spoke the tears came fast
Then Santa said "Now there, there, lass…
We'll get you home like magic-quick
Or my name isn't Old St. Nick!"
He winked and looked at me and smiled
Then he said "But tell me, child…
What gift you need so desperately
That you'd come out in blizzardry?"
I dried my eyes upon my glove
And looked into the skies above
I told him that the gift was there
A star with beauty bright and rare
That told the birth of an infant King
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing
And I must see this star tonight and
Thank God for his Gift of Light
Dear Santa took me by the hand
And told me that he had a plan
"Get in the sleigh, my little one!
You'll see your star 'fore night is done
He called to his reindeer
"Be ready to fly!"
And off we went into Christmas sky
As we passed the star the reindeer slowed
Santa and I both bowed heads low
Gave thanks to God for a child born
Under that star on Christmas morn…
Then at my door, quick as a wink
But how to thank Santa? I couldn't think!
"Oh Santa!" I cried, "What can I say?
This debt is one I can't repay!"
And Old Nick smiled as he turned the sleigh
I heard him call out as he flew away
"You're welcome, my child, for the lift…
But it is I who thank you for the gift!
Your heart is filled with Christmas love
A blessing sent from God above!"
Off he went as he waved goodbye
With a merry twinkle in his eye
So I believe in him, you see~~
Because Santa Claus believes in me!

Wow, I never thought a Santa poem might bring me to tears...but this one did.  The true meaning of Christmas seems so lost to society today...this was just wonderful.  O know Mikey will be very appreciative.

Hey I think you might win the contest.
And to be serious I don`t belive in Santa.
But don`t tell.
I think it is sad when the gril is alone
in the blizzard.
