Of where the two of us do meet

I know you lie awake in the dark
Thinking of whom I do not know
I wonder where your mind is
I know it's a place I never go

I know you well enough to say
That someone else is in our bed
You dream of her and all you'd do
While you lay next to me instead

The darkness may hide your face
So I can't look into your eyes
It can't cover up the truth
When I know you're telling me lies

As I make our bed the next morning
Smoothing the wrinkles out of the sheet
I realize that I've lost you to your dreams
Where you and another secretly meet

Wow, Deb, that is a lonely feeling to be laying next to someone who's not there. I felt the pain and emptiness behind this one. My heart goes out.
