Budig 1997 You are much on my mind just now If I could I would roll back the years I would hide away all the memories Today would be the first day of our lives We would be new and shiny again Bathed in God’s forgiving grace And we would love with childish simplicity But I cannot change time And I cannot erase your memories The best that I can do is to tell you All the things that are in my heart And then wait beneath your window Through the long and perilous night |
