Toerag, a Toerag,
Have you ever seen such a thing?
What exactly is one?
Does anyone really know?
Is it a remant of a sock,
that covers just one toe?

Now I am a timid guy,
really rather shy.
This I can not deny,
But I wonder why?

Toerag isn't shy.
He likes a milky thigh.
The girls all want to cry,
Cause he looks on the fly.

He seems to like to war.
On Balladeer to score.
Some days he's rather sore.
Beaten to the core.

He has a happy wit.
does not act like a twit.
He doesn't seem to flit,
Around, except a skirt slit.

He is the greatest guy.
On that you can rely.
He always will reply.
A friend you can't deny.

(scurring back to my corner to hide)

Toerag is the smelly left over part of the sock that you give the dog to play with
*winkinatcha Toe...*

I wemembah you, you little hair.
I wemembah the way you said you care.
My plight to you was just a game.
Now you nudge and call me names.

I have a freind in nursy true.
She is sweet and never blue.
She treats me well and never scorns.
I never see any nasty horns.

She gave to me from her dear heart.
Now they ask me to depart,
From her side, my loyality show.
She is my friend, I will never go.

So this I tell you, this is true.
Do what it is you have to do.
Get your lawyer, Pay him well.
There is nothing he can do, pray tell.

You do what you have to do.
With much fanfare and aduie.
Remember where you are my dear.
Insanity to a judge is queer.

Ya don't know what a Toerag is?....It's just something everyone kicks around....makes fun of, takes advantage of, and writes mean, untrue, nasty things about.....and after I've been so nice to everyone here too!
This is why I drink yanno? (Well, there may be one or two other reasons, but that's as good as any).....LOL

What is a Toerag you do ask?
Explaining him is quite a task.
He is a most endearing man
And in this gal, he's got a fan.
No finer being's ever lived.
We all count on the smiles he gives.
A bigger heart, you'll never find
Incredible wit, magnificent mind
All wrapped up in a gorgeous view
This compassionate friend so true!
Whatever a Toerag may actually be
The world could sure use more such as he!

What's a Toerag? Hey, I know
The definition's clear.
I've got my Funk and Wagnell's
And it spells it out right here!

Back in the days of Quaker life,
Those old colonial times,
The folks used different punishments
To fit perspective crimes.

The town whores, for example, wore
The scarlet letter, "A"
Petty thiefs were locked in stocks,
Their buttocks on display.

For those that said horrific puns
The kind that makes one gag
They took the big toes from both feet
And tied to them a rag.

So all there knew those feet had been
In one's foul mouth once more.
Thus, toerag is synonomous
With puns extremely poor!

(I'd like to add a postscript
To this little poem of mine.
A Toerag here at Passions can
Do much to make it shine!)

LOL!!!

I'd like to add a simple retort...
(If I knew what that meant)
That a toerag is a special sort,
(albeit rather bent)

You can not find in dictionary
(he doesn't own a book)
A creature this extraordinary
(I can not bear to look)

It's rather hard to explain
(the thought just makes me cringe)
That a Toerag's never plain
(he looks "FAB" in all that fringe!)

He reminds me of my "bestest" friend
(now THAT is downright STRANGE!)
A true confidant til the end
(bring on the firing range!!!)

The simply is no definition
(oh GAWD, I'm going to be sick)
And so ends this inquisition.
(someone call a doctor, QUICK!)

Well thankyou all for your replies. You all have been so helpful. A clearer picture I couldn't have (confused more then before) of what this creature is. The next question is...What's a Balladeer?
